Is your browser a cookie monster?

Cookies are in interesting topic.  Many don’t know half of what happens behind a website, and don’t care to know.  Cookies can be very useful and make your visits to web sites more enjoyable.  They allow websites to tailor content, handle sessions, remember logins, you know – all those nice little things.  However, they can also be used to profile your internet behavior across multiple sites and that information passed on to those whose intentions are less than amicable.  It pays to be safe, if not knowledgeable.

See if your browser is handling cookies as well as it could be.

Autopilot has now been engaged

After checking my email this morning, I noticed a new link at top, like the Labs link I usually get when there’s something new. You’ve gotta love a company with such a sense of humor. Google Autopilot is what every email user needs.

Graboid – get your tv and movies online

Oh, one more thing:
Got to experience Graboid the other day. Worked well. Nice even at fullscreen, and yes, fast. They give you a free 30 day trial with 4Gb of download, but the monthly isn’t steep at all.
Getting your movies through snail mail is so yesterday!
And I like the design of the site, although I wish there were more tentacles.

Another Reason to Keep It Simple

I am all about “simple” as you may have figured out. As far as I am concerned, a lack of features is a feature.
If your site applies to a global audience, and you don’t have site translations already set up, it is a good idea to see what the words on your site look like when put through an automated third party translator. My point is that if you use a lot of cliches or slang, or if you are just too verbose, more than likely your meaning will be totally obliterated after translation. Just a thought.

Admit it, you need me.
