Free converter – make a file a PDF

I really like pdf files.  The reader plugin is widely available, and the file usually looks presentable, it’s easy to print, etc.  However, the cost of buying a good program to convert your files into a pdf can be quite prohibitive, then it might not handle all the file types you need, too.  Well, if you aren’t going to convert gobs of files and the few files you do need to convert are less than a MB, then you are in luck.  Neevia Technology has a free, yes free, online PDF file converter for you to use.   For those once-in-a-while needs, it is great!!  Thanks Neevia.

Is your social-media-life scattered all over the web?

Organizing and keeping track of all the sites you belong to, calendars, lists, information on visited sites, blogs you write, and other sites you frequent is becoming increasingly difficult with the web 2.0 craze in full swing.

Before it all goes spiraling out of control,  try

SuprGlu

Use it to create one place for others to find all your stuff.  I use SuprGlu by adding all my personal feeds to make one Supr RSS feed of all my stuff.  Or use it to create one place to gather all your favorite feeds.  The feeds don’t have to be yours – you can create a Supr feed of your favorite tech sites, or maybe your favorite recipe sites, it’s up to you to conglomerate the feed into what you want it to deliver.

Then there’s

Scrybe You can’t get into this, the beta is closed, but see the video here.

podcast, iptv, vidcast directory

Podcast Pickle is a great site.  There’s no argument there.

One vidcast in particular that I like is Kidcast.tv – Free Children’s IPTV Network.  They do things that I have often wanted to do, like take apart a cell phone.  It is much less cost-prohibitive to watch this vidcast than to do it yourself. ;)

ViroPop – contagious and sweet…

I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a liberal.  I do, however, have a basic respect for the environment and being a responsible human in general.  The flagship show on ViroPop is Taproot and it is quite well done, even by my exceedingly high right-wing standards. ;)

—- Watch it in my VodPod ———->

I thought it was funny, well thought out, and the graphic presentation is very hip.  I would like to make one slightly demeaning comparison.  The host of Taproot did remind me of a certain overly-perky vidcast host of a certain show called Geek Brief.  Which happens to annoy me enough that I won’t watch Geek Brief anymore, even if it did have good information once in a while.  I can only take so much of watching a grown woman act like a three year old.  Boy, am I going to get some flyback on this posting…

Admit it, you need me.
